PAK vs SA 2nd ODI Playing 11: Shaheen Afridi-led Pakistan will square off against Matthew Breetzke-led South Africa in the 2nd ODI match on November 06 at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.

Pakistan secured a 1-0 lead in the ODI series after a 2-wicket victory and will be aiming to secure an insurmountable lead with a win in the second ODI.

Both sides have met on 88 occasions in ODI, where Pakistan has won on 35 occasions, while South Africa has 52 wins, with one game ending with no result.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Speaking at the toss, Shaheen Afridi said, “We will bat first. The pitch looks the same. We feel the ball will come onto the bat nicely.”

“Two changes. Abrar and Hasan Nawaz rested. Faheem Ashraf and Wasim Jr are back. A lot of areas (to improve), but the boys played really well in the last game, and credit goes to them,” added Shaheen Afridi.

Meanwhile, Matthew Breetzke said, “We would have batted first. Hopefully, we can restrict them to a decent total and chase it. We were about 20 runs short. We dragged them really well.”

“Our bowlers really bowled well, hopefully the same again today. The hospitality from the Pakistan people has been great, the crowds have been great,” added Breetzke.

“We’ve got two changes. Nqabayomzi Peter comes in for Lungi Ngidi, and Nandre Burger comes in for Lizaad Williams..” concluded Matthew Breetzke.
