Actor Emraan Hashmi, who makes a special appearance as an intimacy coach in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, recently shared his thoughts on the series’ release format.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, he expressed strong confidence that the project deserved a big-screen outing and would have emerged as a massive hit at the box office.

Calling Aryan Khan’s debut directorial “politically incorrect”, he added, “It should have come out in theatres. This would have done ₹600 - 700 crore at the box office.”

Emraan also expressed admiration for Shah Rukh Khan and his eagerness to collaborate, saying, “There was an opportunity to work on a film together, which didn't happen. But, hopefully, in the future, if I get to work with him on the film, I definitely will.”

He further reflected on his viral cameo and the warm response to his appearance. As he told PTI, the excitement surrounding his role stems from the audience’s nostalgia for his early career, the era that cemented his image as the ultimate on-screen lover.

One of the biggest highlights from the show arrives in episode three when Raghav Juyal’s Parvaiz, a friend of Lakshya’s Aasmaan, encounters his idol Emraan. Overwhelmed, he bursts into a surprise performance of the star’s evergreen track “Kaho Na Kaho” from Murder, a moment fans have particularly celebrated.

“It was a fun scene to do... It just got the recognition and the attention that I didn't know it was going to get, but it's great. I'm happy for everyone who's part of the show. It just has blown up and become this viral thing. This is the image that people used to love me for, they were missing it for a while and then they saw a little glimpse of it and it kind of just blew up. So yeah, it's fun,” he added.

On the work front, Emraan Hashmi will next be seen in Haq opposite Yami Gautam, which is slated for release on November 7.
