Bad condition of Indian team. (HONG KONG SIXES)
India's performance in Hong Kong International Success 2025 was nothing special. The Indian team, which made a strong entry in the tournament by defeating Pakistan, had to face three consecutive defeats on the second day. After the defeat by Kuwait in Pool C, UAE and Nepal also gave a crushing defeat to India in the ball round. Three consecutive defeats have eliminated India from the race for the quarter-finals, and now the last match in the ball stage is against Sri Lanka.
27 run defeat from Kuwait
The decisive match of Pool C was against Kuwait, where victory was necessary for India. Batting first, Kuwait scored 106 runs in 6 overs. In reply, the entire Indian team collapsed after losing 6 wickets for just 79 runs. Kuwait's Yasin Patel bowled lethally and took 3 wickets for just 23 runs. Due to this defeat, Kuwait remained first and Pakistan second in the pool, while India slipped to third place and reached the ball round.
UAE defeated by 4 wickets
UAE disappointed India again in the first match of the ball stage. Abhimanyu Mithun scored 50 runs in 16 balls (strike rate 312.50) and Dinesh Karthik scored 42 runs in 14 balls (strike rate 300), due to which India reached 108 runs in 6 overs. But UAE's Khalid Shah turned the match by scoring 50 runs in just 14 balls. UAE achieved the target with 4 wickets in hand and increased India's problems.
Big defeat from Nepal
The last match of the day was against Nepal, which proved to be the worst for India. Nepal scored a huge score of 137 runs in 6 overs without losing any wicket. India's innings collapsed as soon as it started and the team was all out after losing 6 wickets for just 45 runs. Nepal's Rashid Khan did wonders, first scoring 55 runs in 17 balls, then taking 3 wickets for just 7 runs. The difference of 92 runs is one of the biggest defeats so far in this tournament. India's last match in the ball round will be against Sri Lanka. This match is a chance to save respect and bring back confidence. This match will be played on 9 November.
