What is UPI?
Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a digital payment system that allows you to send and receive money instantly from your mobile phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This system was developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). UPI connects your bank account with mobile apps (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.).
Every user receives a UPI ID or QR code, which allows them to send or receive money without entering bank details. If you want to send ₹500 to someone, simply enter their UPI ID, the amount, and the UPI PIN. The money will be transferred instantly.
