Now, after the demand of BCCI, ICC has formed a committee to decide this matter. To expedite this, ICC has formed a committee, which will try to resolve this matter as soon as possible. This matter was not the agenda of the meeting. Due to this, this conversation has not been included in the official records. Now it remains to be seen how long the ICC resolves this matter and the Indian team gets the Asia Cup trophy.

What is the Asia Cup trophy controversy?

Recently, the Indian team won the title for the 9th time by defeating Pakistan in the final match of Asia Cup 2025. But when the turn came to take the trophy after the victory, the Indian team refused to take the Asia Cup trophy from the hands of Pakistan Cricket Board and ACC Council Chief Mohsin Naqvi. After this Naqvi took the trophy with himself. The Indian team celebrated the victory without a trophy. Since then, BCCI is continuously raising questions on this step of Naqvi.
