UPI Payment Without Internet: Money transactions have become very easy in the country through Unified Payment Interface (UPI). You can make offline payments even without internet with the help of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) service.
Do these things before starting offline payment
To make offline payment without internet, your mobile number should be linked to the bank account. After this, set the UPI PIN from the bank’s app or website. Once this process is completed, you will be able to easily do offline transactions.
How to transfer money without internet
- Type 99# in *dialer of your mobile and press the call button.
Then the menu will open on the screen. There will be options like Send Money, Check Balance and Request Money. - After this, select the bank account from which you want to make payment.
- Then enter the recipient’s mobile number, UPID or bank account number and IFSC code.
- Type the amount you want to send and finally enter your UPI PIN.
- The payment will be successful in a few seconds. That too without internet connection.
What are the limits and charges?
A maximum transaction of Rs 5,000 can be done through this service. A nominal fee of Rs 0.50 is charged per transaction. This facility of UPI works 24×7. Not only this, she also works during holidays. Supports all mobile networks and handsets.
More than 47 crore people are using UPI
At present, more than 49 crore people use UPI in the country. There are more than 6.5 crore traders among them. Let us tell you, these figures are for June 2024. This number is continuously increasing. According to a figure, transactions worth Rs 23.49 lakh crore are made through UPI every month across India. At the same time, if we talk about the number of transactions, it is more than 53 crores.
