The 2017 final caught the attention of many people. The 2020 T20 World Cup final created some new fans. The 2025 final not only wrote a new history but also gave a new energy. The history of Indian women's cricket has been long but the last 8 years have taken it to a new level and now the Indian women's team has become the world champion for the first time. In the journey to reach this destination, many players made different sacrifices, about which the world is now knowing. One such journey was that of the Indian team's all-rounder Sneh Rana, who not only made a comeback but also contributed to the victory due to her rebellious spirit and the spirit of not accepting defeat.

It was just a few months ago, when Sneh Rana was walking out of Team India. Between December 2023 and April 2025, this spin-all-rounder, coming from Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, played only 1 match for Team India – a Test match. In women's cricket, there is a test match once in a year or two. Sneh was not given any chance in the ODI and T20 formats for about one and a half years and it was at this time, when he made a comeback in April, that he made a tattoo on his right wrist, in which it was written - 'Rebel'.

His tattoo marks the mark of 'rebellious' affection

This is not just a word, but for Sneh Rana it is his identity or his second nature. Sneh Rana herself says this and has also proved it. He has been a continuous part of the team since his return to ODI cricket for Team India in April 2025. Before the World Cup, Sneh had also told about this tattoo in an interview.

In this Star Sports interview, Sneh had said, "If any situation goes against me, I want to overcome it. So I like to rebel in a way." While talking about this tattoo in an interview with ESPN Cricinfo, Sneh had said, "If someone says it can't happen, my natural answer is why can't it happen. It can happen. I rebel."

Showed his strength by returning to Team India

The kind of comeback that Sneh Rana made, truly proves the validity of this tattoo of hers. Sneh Rana's return seemed difficult in Team India but without him, Harmanpreet Kaur and her team were also facing problems in the last one and a half year. Since returning to the ODI format in April 2025, Sneh has taken 28 wickets in 17 matches. Out of these, she took 15 wickets during the three-nation series in Sri Lanka before the World Cup and was chosen Player of the Tournament.

Only after this he got a chance in the World Cup also. Even though she was not a part of the playing 11 in the semi-finals and finals, she took 7 wickets in 7 matches. Not only this, during this period Sneh had played short but fast and important innings in the lower order against Sri Lanka, Pakistan and South Africa, which helped a lot in helping Team India reach a competitive score.
