Materials:

  • Legs of Goat – 4 to 5
  • Onion – 2 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 2 teaspoons
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Red Chilli – 1 tsp
  • Coriander-cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Water – as required
  • Coriander – for garnish

Action:

  • For this, feet should be washed first. The hair or residue on the bones should be burnt off and boiled in clean water with a little salt. This removes the bad smell.
  • Heat oil in a cooker, add onion and fry until it turns golden. After that add ginger-garlic paste and saute until it smells good.
  • Now add turmeric, chili powder, coriander-cumin powder and a little garam masala. Mix all the spices together well.
  • Add the boiled legs to the cooker and saute for 5-7 minutes along with the spices. Therefore, the taste of the spice gets absorbed in the legs.
  • Now add about 4 to 5 cups of hot water and add salt. Cover the cooker and cook till 5-6 whistles.
  • After the cooker cools down, remove the lid and watch the soup. If the soup seems thick, add a little more water and boil it.
    Take the prepared base soup in a bowl and add coriander on top. You can also add some lemon juice if you want. Serve the soup hot.
