Responding to PTI’s queries, Tuhin Mishra, MD and co-founder of Baseline Ventures, which manages Mandhana, Richa Ghosh and Radha Yadav, and Karan Yadav, chief commercial officer of JSW Sports, which manages Shefali and Jemima, were both upbeat about the future of women cricketers. “We are seeing a huge increase in their brand value. The endorsement price of a top-level athlete has increased two to three times. Jemima has gone from Rs 60 lakh to over Rs 1.5 crore,” said Yadav.
India won the first World Cup by defeating South Africa
ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 final match between India Women’s team and South Africa Women’s team in Navi Mumbai. It was played at DY Patil Sports Academy. In this match, India has won the World Cup title by defeating the South African team by runs. Losing the toss, the Indian team had set a target of 299 runs against South Africa. Chasing down the target, the South African team managed to score 246 all out. As a result, India won the match by 52 runs and claimed the historic title. Deepti Sharma took the most 5 wickets from India.
