In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood where its usually the picture-perfect lives of celebrities that come to the forefront there is a lot that happens behind the curtains. The struggles and challenges of actors never come to the spotlight. One such similar tale is of actress Celina Jaitly who has been going through a silent battle. Recently she has opened up about her brother Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitlys year-long detention in the UAE. The Delhi High Court on Monday issued a notice to the Government of India to file a status report on the matter and also appointed a nodal officer for assistance and communication with the family. Court intervention and the family’s plea As per reports the Delhi High Court directed the Centre to file a detailed status report within four weeks. The court also asked an officer be assigned to ensure proper coordination and updates to the family. However allegedly despite repeated requests the Centre had provided only “perfunctory consular assistance” and failed to share any specific information about Major Jaitly’s condition or whereabouts. Celina’s brother had been residing in the UAE since 2016 working with MATITI Group a firm engaged in trading consultancy and risk management services. Taking to her Instagram Celina Jaitly wrote an emotional note for her brother. She said: “#mybrotherandme : My Dumpy I hope you’re ok I hope you know I’m standing with you like a rock I hope you know I haven’t slept a single night without crying for you I hope you know I’d give up everything for you. I hope you know no one can ever come between us I hope you know I left no stone unturned. I hope God will finally be kind to you & me my bhai. Waiting for you…” Celinas Painful Note Celinas heartbreaking and emotional note spoke about the pain she has been battling since the detention of her brother. While the legal process continues Celinas battle speaks of resilience patience and faith.
