Three players from the victorious India side have been named in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament.

Deepti Sharma, the competition’s leading wicket-taker who produced a superb five for 39 in the final, features alongside teammates Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues.

The trio is joined by three players from runners-up South Africa — Laura Wolvaardt, Marizanne Kapp, and Nadine de Klerk — as well as an equal number of Australians: Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, and Alana King.

Wolvaardt has also been named captain of the team. England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and Sophie Ecclestone, along with Pakistan wicketkeeper Sidra Nawaz, complete the XI.

The selection panel comprised commentators Ian Bishop, Mel Jones, and Isa Guha; Gaurav Saxena (ICC General Manager – Events and Corporate Communications); and journalist representative Estelle Vasudevan.
