Reva . On Sunday evening, a speeding Scorpio crushed people crossing the road on Rewa-Prayagraj road under Garh police station area in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. All four, including two children, died in this accident, while two people were seriously injured and have been admitted to a nearby hospital. The police is investigating the case.
According to the information, near village Tendua Kothar on Rewa-Prayagraj road, some people were crossing the road on foot and one person was going on a bike. Meanwhile, a speeding Scorpio hit him hard. In this accident, all four people died on the spot. After the accident, three bodies remained lying on the road for a long time. Angered by the incident, the local people created a ruckus. As soon as the information was received, Garh and Mangawan police station reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital. Police have started investigating the case by sending the bodies for post-mortem.
After the accident, the angry family once again blocked the road for 45 minutes on Sunday night. On receiving the information, the entire police staff including SDM Sanjay Jain, DSP Pratibha Sharma, Sohagi police station in-charge Pawan Shukla reached the spot. The police administration had to put in a lot of effort to clear the jam. Collector Pratibha Pal, Commissioner BS Jamod and SP Shailendra Singh reached the hospital to know the condition of the injured in the accident.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Ramnaresh Saket (35) son of Ramsia Saket resident of village Tendua Kothar, Ruchi Saket (12) daughter of Ramnaresh Saket resident of village Tendua Kothar, Rachana Saket (13) daughter of Kanhaiya Saket resident of village Tendua Kothar and Kamlesh Singh (35) son of Ramsia Singh resident of village Harro. At the same time, Sulekha Saket daughter of Munnilal Saket and Soumya Saket daughter of Munnilal Saket were injured in the accident.
Scorpio is from Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Scorpio owner Brijendra Singh, resident of Bhilai Sector-10, told that his brother-in-law was driving the car. His brother-in-law’s son was with him. Both are safe in the accident. His life was saved when the air bag opened. Both of them had left for Kanpur on Sunday. Brijendra Singh’s brother-in-law is admitted in ICU in Kanpur.
SDM Sanjay Jain said that the incident is very unfortunate. There is anger among the grieving family members due to the death of many people in the family. DSP Pratibha Sharma said that the family is hurt by this unfortunate incident. Because of this he blocked the road twice. The Collector has provided financial assistance of Rs 50-50 thousand for the victim’s family through Red Cross.
