When it comes to IoT (Internet of Things) cyber attacks, America is at the top in these incidents and accounts for more than half of cyber attacks worldwide. According to the report, there has been a 67 percent increase in the number of mobile attacks by malware and spyware worldwide.

38 percent more attacks on India compared to last year
According to Zscaler’s ThreatLabz 2025 Mobile, IoT, and OT Threat Report, mobile attack incidents in India have increased by 38 percent this year compared to last year. Hence, India has become one of the countries with the highest number of mobile attacks in the world. Cybercriminals are now committing more fraud through mobile payments than cards. The report also states that cyber attackers are targeting the energy sector the most. There has been a 38 percent increase in the number of cyber attacks on this sector compared to last year. Fake apps downloaded millions of times
According to the report, more than 200 Malaysian apps were found on the Google Play Store, which were downloaded more than 4.2 million times. These apps, marketing themselves as productivity and workflow utility apps, were listed in the Tools category. These apps were downloaded millions of times worldwide. It is worth noting that despite Google’s many efforts to prevent fake apps from being listed on the Play Store, cybercriminals manage to list them. These apps are designed to steal users’ data and install malware or ransomware.
