Jeremy Clarkson joked that he has "returned" to his Amazon Prime series, The Grand Tour, one year after the show came to an end. On Sunday night (November 9), the 65-year-old motoring journalist shared a clip on Instagram with his 9.6 million followers of him driving a red off-road vehicle. The dad-of-three was seen driving on a dirt road in the pouring rain as he teased fans about the TV series possibly making a comeback.

He told viewers: "Yes, I am back on the Grand Tour, it seems. Ooh [there's] sick roads, pouring with rain, difficult conditions, but I'm managing after many years of practice." Jeremy sent tongues wagging further when he captioned the post: "I'm back in the [g]olden days."

It didn't take long before fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement and desire for another series of the Grand Tour online. One user penned: "He is missing it too [fire emoji] there will be a comeback - for real - hope so - Maybe! Please?"

Another agreed: "Biggest tease of all time hearing back on the Grand Tour. I know it's over but I still miss you guys! The one thing that makes it easy is watching you all continue on separate paths. Just grateful I was able to witness a truly unique television program that can NEVER be recreated."

A third echoed: "Mr. Clarkson. Thank you so much for delivering to us 22 years of great car content and I hope you're enjoying your retirement. Well, I hope you enjoy your trip from a Top Gear and a Grand Tour fan."

A fourth added: "Bet doing this brought back countless memories for you @jeremyclarkson1" as another eagle-eyed fan noticed: "On the Honda 420 I see @jeremyclarkson1." The Grand Tour was hosted by Jeremy, Richard Hammond, and James May from 2016 to 2024, following their explosive exit from the BBC motoring show.

But after three years, the Amazon Prime series came to an end with the trio now moving on to their own independent shows on and off the popular streaming giant. It comes days after Jeremy paid tribute to his former Top Gear and Fifth Gear presenter Quentin Wilson, who died at the age of 68 following a short battle with lung cancer on Saturday (November 8).

The star, who had worked alongside Quentin at one point, took to Twitter to share his condolences, summing him up in three simple words. The Clarkson's Farm star penned: "I'm far away, so I've only just heard that Quentin Wilson has died.

"We had some laughs over the years. Proper funny man." However, one disgruntled fan fumed: "Not exactly a heartfelt ringing endorsement", to which Clarkson hit back with: "'Proper funny man' is literally the highest accolade you can bestow on someone."

James May also shared an emotional tribute to the late presenter. The on-screen star, 62, penned a heartfelt message on social media, which read: "Quentin Wilson gave me proper advice and encouragement during my earliest attempts at TV, back in the late 90s. I've never forgotten it. Great bloke."
