Nigam was continuously receiving threatening calls from an international number, in which a woman was demanding something while threatening to ruin his career. This matter has now reached the police and investigation has been started.
Blackmailing attempt through international call
Vipraj Nigam has been a part of the Indian ‘A’ team in the IPL with Delhi Capitals and also at the national level. Vipraj Nigam told the police that he had received a call from an international number. The caller was a woman, who made some demands from him. When Vipraj blocked the caller’s number, he got a call again from another international number. The woman clearly threatened and said, “If you do not listen to me, I will make your video viral and ruin your career.”
Police registered the case
The corporation immediately contacted the city police station in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh regarding this matter and lodged a complaint of blackmailing and threats. After receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case. Police are now examining the call details, digital evidence and the international numbers used to contact the player. Police officials are trying to find out where these calls came from and what is the real intention behind the threats.
