Faridabad Terrorist: Faridabad terrorist module busted, 5 big revelations related to the conspiracy

Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a terrorist plot in Faridabad and recovered 350 kg of explosives, arms and ammunition. 7 suspects associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind module arrested, investigation into Pakistani links and funding continues.

Faridabad/New Delhi. Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday busted a major terrorist conspiracy in Delhi-NCR. Along with this, a huge quantity of ammunition was recovered from a village near Faridabad, Haryana. This operation was conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Faridabad Police. Based on intelligence received after interrogation of the suspects arrested in Jammu and Kashmir, a large quantity of explosives were recovered from the rented house of Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, MBBS doctor and teacher at Al Falah Medical College, Faridabad, originally a resident of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that the suspect had rented a house in Dhauj village three months ago.

The recovered arms and explosive materials were linked to an international terror module of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind organisations. A total of 7 people have been arrested so far in this operation. The investigation has revealed a white-collar terrorist ecosystem, comprising radicalized professionals and students, who are in touch with foreign masters operating from Pakistan and other countries. 1- Large cache of explosives and ammunition recovered

350 kg of explosives were recovered from the terrorists, which included 14 bags of ammonium nitrate weighing about 100 kg, an AK-47 rifle, 84 live cartridges, several timers used in bombs and 5 liters of chemical solution etc. A total of 48 items are suspected to be used in making Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

2- Investigation of possible Pakistani links

Possible Pakistani links are being investigated. The seized items have been sent for forensic examination and intelligence agencies are probing the network's funding sources and possible links with handlers across the border in Pakistan.

3- The angle of the female doctor is also examined

Apart from Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, the role of a female doctor from Jammu and Kashmir is also being investigated. According to several reports, the rifle recovered from Muzammil was found in the Swift Dezire car of the female doctor.

4- International terrorist module exposed

The recovery of weapons was part of a larger operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, which has busted an interstate and international terror module of the Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind organisations. According to the police, a total of 7 people including a doctor from Faridabad and another doctor from Jammu and Kashmir have been arrested. The arrested suspects have been identified as Arif Nisar Dar alias Sahil, Yasir-ul-Ashraf and Maqsood Ahmed Dar alias Shahid. All are residents of Naugam, Srinagar. Apart from these, Shopian resident Maulvi Irfan Ahmed (Imam of a mosque); Jamir Ahmed Ahangar alias Mutlasha, resident of Wakura, Ganderbal, Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai alias Musaib, resident of Koil, Pulwama and Dr. Adeel, resident of Wanpora, Kulgam.

5- Money raised from academic channels

According to the police, the money for the terror module was raised through professional and academic networks under the guise of social and religious works. All the accused have been found involved in identifying persons, radicalizing them, recruiting them into terrorist ranks, raising funds, arranging logistics, purchasing arms and ammunition and materials for preparing IEDs.
