Mumbai: Legendary actor Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on November 11, his team confirmed. The veteran star, fondly known as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” was admitted to the hospital after he complained of respiratory issues.
According to reports, the Deol family will be issuing an official statement on Dharmendra’s demise in some time.
His demise marks the end of an era in Indian cinema, leaving fans and colleagues across the nation in deep grief.
With a remarkable career spanning over six decades, Dharmendra delivered countless unforgettable performances in classics like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Dharam Veer, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, and Dream Girl. His final on-screen appearance will be in ‘Ikkis’, scheduled for release on December 25.
Dharmendra is survived by his wife Hema Malini and his six children Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, Ajeeta, and Vijeta.
