Veteran actor Dharmendra, one of the most cherished icons of Hindi cinema, has passed away at the age of 89 after battling prolonged health complications. The legendary star, who had been undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, reportedly took his last breath as his condition deteriorated. Only a few days earlier, concerns about his well-being had surfaced when he was hospitalised for what was initially described as a routine medical check-up.
Several stars, including his wife Hema Malini and sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, had visited him at the hospital. Reports suggesting that he was on ventilator support had circulated online but were later dismissed by those close to the family.
