CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to conduct board exams fairly and transparently. In this regard, the board has formulated a CCTV policy. This policy will apply to CBSE-affiliated schools both in India and abroad. It states that it is mandatory for board exam centers to install CCTV in their examination halls. Schools that do not have CCTV installed will not be designated as exam centers by the board.
The CBSE has announced the dates and timetable for the 2026 Class 10 and 12 board exams. Both exams will begin on February 17th. Another important point is that the CBSE will conduct board exams twice this academic session, with the first exam being mandatory for all.
Entrance and Exit Gates and Desks Required
According to the CBSE policy, CCTV coverage is required at the entrance and exit gates of the examination hall, as well as at desks. CCTV will be kept on throughout the exam period. Video footage can be easily retrieved for review if needed.
4.5 million students in 10th and 12th grades will appear for the exams.
Approximately 4.5 million students from 26 countries will appear for the CBSE 10th and 12th board exams. The policy also states that signage will be installed to inform students about the presence of CCTV cameras. This information will be provided to students through handbooks, notice boards, and orientation programs. Schools will inform students that they are under CCTV surveillance.
