SSC Exam 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has provided significant relief to candidates appearing for the 2025 Junior Engineer and Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination. The Commission has announced that candidates will now be able to choose their preferred exam date, city, and shift. A self-slot selection facility has been introduced to enhance transparency and candidate convenience in the examination process.

The slot selection window for both exams will open on different dates. Candidates are advised to book their slots as soon as the window opens, without waiting for the deadline.

How to book a slot?

To select your preferred exam date, city, and shift, log in to the SSC website at ssc.gov.in. The process is as follows:

First, visit the SSC website at ssc.gov.in.

Log in with your registration number and password.
Go to the 'My Application' section and select the slot selection option.
Select your preferred slot from the available dates and shifts in the three cities you selected during your application.
Now submit the one-time password.

The Staff Selection Commission has also clarified that once a slot is selected and confirmed, it will be considered final. Candidates who do not select a slot within the stipulated period will be automatically allocated a slot by the system based on the available seats and the preferences selected at the time of application.

How many positions will be filled?
This recruitment drive will fill 1,731 vacant positions for Junior Engineers and 5,308 vacant positions for Sub-Inspectors in the Delhi Police and CAPFs.
