New Delhi: Meta company’s instant messaging platform WhatsApp is now preparing to bring a big update for its millions of users. This new feature will free users from fake calls and messages and protect them from cyber attacks. Currently this feature is being tested in beta version and it will be introduced under the name ‘Strict Account Settings’.
According to the report, this feature has been seen in WhatsApp Android version 2.25.33.4. This feature will make the user’s WhatsApp account more secure. Through this, messages and calls coming from unknown numbers can be limited. That means if a hacker repeatedly sends fake messages, the user will not be able to receive them.

Users will be able to set these options as per their need so that their WhatsApp account can be made more secure.

Keeping in mind the recent increasing incidents of cyber fraud and data leakage, Meta is working on this feature. This feature will help users keep personal data safe and protect them from unknown contacts.
- Waiting for official release
Currently this feature is available only in beta version. There is no official announcement from Meta yet as to when this feature will be rolled out for all users. However, according to experts, this may prove to be the most advanced security update of WhatsApp till date.
