Jio Users Now Access BSNL Network: Reliance Jio has joined hands with BSNL and has launched new plans for its users that allow them to use BSNL network. These new plans active Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) for the Jio users through which they can use BSNL’s network in remote areas Jio has low connectivity. The private telecom giant has introduced these plans for central Indian states - Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. What Did Jio Say On The Major Development? Jio said the service allows users to use BSNL’s network for voice data and SMS services. “BSNL ICR service is available on select prepaid recharges offered by Jio. This allows customers to use voice data and SMS services by connecting to the BSNL network within the same geographical circle at select locations” Jio said in a statement. Jios New ICR Recharge Plans It is worth noting that Jio has launched two recharge plans priced at Rs 196 and Rs 396. Both plans come with a validity of 28 days. These plans are only for the BSNL network and users cannot utilise them on other service providers such as - Airtel and Vodafone Idea. Jio stated that once users recharge with these special plans they will remain in a queued status. “These plans will be automatically activated upon the first usage of any voice SMS or data service. Once activated the plan will remain valid for its defined validity period” Jio said. During his visit Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) between both the telecom companies was successfully tested. The ICR facility is free for every network operator through 4G sites funded by Digital Bharat Nidhi.
