111 year old Naseema cast her vote in the second phase of Bihar elections 2025, said- duty fulfilled

67.14% voting took place in the second phase of Bihar Elections 2025, in which a 111-year-old woman also cast her vote. This phase decided the fate of 12 ministers. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.

Patna: Naseema Khatoon, a 111-year-old woman, cast her vote at a polling booth in Chhatapur Assembly constituency of Supaul district in the second phase of Bihar elections on Tuesday. He showed his commitment to this democratic process. Naseema Khatoon, who came in a wheelchair, told ANI after casting her vote, "I have cast my vote and fulfilled my duty." Officials said that she is the oldest voter in Supaul district.

According to Election Commission data, a huge turnout of 67.14 percent was recorded in the second phase of assembly elections in Bihar till 5 pm on Tuesday. The highest turnout was recorded in Kishanganj district at 76.26 percent, followed by Katihar at 75.23 percent, Purnia at 73.79 percent, Supaul at 70.69 percent, East Champaran at 69.02 percent and Banka at 68.91 percent.

According to the Election Commission's voter turnout application, 57.11 percent voting was recorded in Nawada till 5 pm. Voting was 67.79 percent in Araria, 63.06 percent in Arwal, 64.48 percent in Aurangabad, 66.03 percent in Bhagalpur, 64.36 percent in Jehanabad, 67.22 percent in Kaimur (Bhabhua), 69.02 percent in West Champaran and 67.50 percent in Gaya.


Voting was 67.81 percent in Jamui, 60.09 percent in Rohtas, 67.31 percent in Sheohar, 65.28 percent in Sitamarhi and 61.79 percent in Madhubani. Among major constituencies, voting was 69.72 per cent in Supaul, 60.97 per cent in Sasaram, 68.24 per cent in Mohania, 62.17 per cent in Kutumba, 58.43 per cent in Gaya Town, 67.41 per cent in Chainpur, 74.20 per cent in Dhamdaha, 70.98 per cent in Harsiddhi and 57.73 per cent in Jhanjharpur.


In the second phase, the fate of 12 ministers of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's cabinet will be decided. These include JD(U) leader Vijender Yadav (contesting from Supaul assembly constituency), Lacey Singh (Dhamdaha), Jayant Kushwaha (Amarpur), Sumit Singh (Chakai), Mohammad Jama Khan (Chainpur), and Sheela Mandal (Phulparas). BJP ministers in the fray include Prem Kumar (Gaya), Renu Devi (Bettiah), Vijay Kumar Mandal (Sikti), Nitish Mishra (Jhanjharpur), Neeraj Bablu (Chhatapur), and Krishnanandan Paswan (Harsiddhi). The first phase of Bihar elections recorded the highest voting percentage in the history of the state. There was a record 65.08 percent voting in the first phase of voting in the state. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.
