News India Live, Digital Desk: Whenever the debate on nepotism erupts in Bollywood, everyone’s eyes are fixed on the star kids and their parents. But the amazing actor Arshad Warsi, who won our hearts with characters like ‘Circuit’ and ‘Jolly LLB’, has a completely different thinking on this matter. He has clearly said that even if his children want to get into acting, he will not call any director and recommend them. This statement of his is also special because it is completely different from the perception where it is believed that star kids get the first film easily. “The real struggle starts after getting the first film.” When Arshad was asked about this in a recent interview, he said a very deep and true thing. He said, “To be honest, I would not do that (recommendation). I think it is very important that they struggle. If I give them everything on a platter, they will not be able to learn anything.” Arshad believes that the real struggle in Bollywood starts after getting the first film, the struggle to retain it. He said that when you make your own path by working hard, you learn a lot and become a better person and actor. Then what are Arshad’s children doing? You will be surprised to know that Arshad’s children are currently away from the world of acting. His daughter Jane Warsi is a lawyer and son Jake Warsi is pursuing a career in music and wants to become a cinematographer/director. Arshad also made it clear that he never put any pressure on his children. He said, “I have given them complete freedom. If they want to become actors, they have to stand in line for auditions.” ‘The doors of the house are always open’ Although Arshad is strictly against making recommendations, he also said that the doors of his house are always open for people from the industry. He wants his children to make their own friends, network and understand the industry. He says, “If my son has to meet a director, he will have to make his own path. Yes, if he is very passionate and serious, I can help just for an audition, but not for the role. Talent is everything.” This thinking of Arshad Warsi is an example for all those who believe that only recommendations lead to success in Bollywood. He believes that the path to real success passes only through hard work and struggle.
