The last phase of the Bihar Assembly elections has wrapped up, showcasing a fierce contest primarily between the JD(U)-led NDA and the RJD-led Grand Alliance. Voters turned out in large numbers to select their representatives.

According to current reports, approximately 37 million voters exercised their rights at over 45,000 polling stations. A total of 1,302 candidates are in the fray, featuring a mix of seasoned politicians and newcomers hoping to make their mark.

Notable figures in this election include Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav, and Tej Pratap Yadav, alongside emerging candidates like Osama Shahab. Key constituencies such as Mahua, Raghopur, and Raghunathpur are witnessing particularly intense competition. Additionally, some intra-alliance rivalries within the India Alliance have added to the electoral excitement.

It is important to note that the Election Commission has instructed all media outlets not to release any exit poll data until the second phase of voting is complete. Reports indicate that exit poll results will be disclosed approximately half an hour after voting concludes, around 6:30 PM.

Major agencies like Axis MyIndia, CVoter, and Today’s Chanakya are conducting exit polls this time, which will provide early insights into voter trends.

The second phase of the Bihar elections is scheduled for November 11, covering 122 seats across 20 districts, with significant constituencies including Gaya Town, Katihar, and Supaul. This phase is crucial for both alliances, as some parties aim to retain their seats while others strategize to strengthen their foothold in new areas.

The first phase of voting set a new record for enthusiasm, with the Chief Electoral Officer reporting a turnout of 65.08%, the highest since 1998. Notably, the participation of female voters has been particularly remarkable this time.

Regarding exit polls, these surveys are conducted immediately after voting through conversations with voters to gauge their choices. While these are merely estimates, they provide an initial glimpse of the results and play a significant role in understanding the political landscape.

This election in Bihar has sparked extraordinary enthusiasm and democratic spirit among voters, the outcomes of which will become evident in the coming days.
