The strings of Delhi blast are linked to the posters of Srinagar. Security forces have busted a terrorist module of Jaish-e-Mohammed and seized about 3000 kg of explosives from Faridabad. Many people including doctors have been arrested in this case.

New Delhi: According to sources, Delhi Blast's telegrams are related to the objectionable posters put up in Naugam area of Srinagar, for which an FIR was registered on October 19. Security forces took strict action to eliminate the inter-state Jaish-e-Mohammed module linked to this terrorist conspiracy. Sources said that during the investigation into the case, two arrests were made from Shopian and Ganderbal between October 20 and 27 and Dr Adil, a medical practitioner, was nabbed from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh on November 5.

Two days later, an AK-56 rifle and other ammunition were seized from a hospital in Anantnag and later more guns, pistols and explosives were recovered from a place in Faridabad, he said. During interrogation, the accused revealed the names of other people involved in this module. Subsequently, Dr. Muzammil, a doctor from Al Falah Medical College, Faridabad, was arrested. Based on these leads, further arrests were made and a large cache of weapons and explosives was seized.

On November 9, a man named Madrasi, a resident of Dhauj, Faridabad, was arrested from his house. The next day, a large consignment of explosives weighing 2,563 kg was recovered from the house of Hafiz Mohammad Ishtiaq, a resident of Mewat and Imam of Al Falah Mosque in Dhera Colony, Faridabad. In subsequent raids, an additional 358 kg of explosive material, detonators, and timers were seized. He also added that around 3,000 kg of explosives and bomb making material stored by this module was seized.

Sources said that during these operations, Omar, who was part of this module and was working as a medical practitioner at Al Falah Medical College, changed his location due to constant pressure from security forces. According to CCTV footage, the car in which the blast took place at the Red Fort was being driven by Umar, a member of the same module. The blast was caused by the same type of material which was deposited in Faridabad.

He said that whether this blast was pre-planned or happened by mistake will be known in further investigation. Security agencies and intelligence networks successfully "eliminated this Faridabad module". Recovered a large quantity of explosive material and foiled a major conspiracy aimed at causing large-scale damage in the country. Sources said that Umar ran away due to the successful action of the security forces and his panic and frustration probably led to the blast at the Red Fort. Whether it was intentional or accidental will be revealed in the investigation, but it is certain that the blast was a part of a series of incidents during which a major terrorist module was busted and a huge quantity of explosives were seized.

As soon as the news of the blast came on Tuesday, Delhi Police and other security agencies reached the spot. Home Minister Amit Shah immediately directed NSG, NIA and forensic teams to reach the spot. The injured were immediately taken to the nearest hospital and the owner of the vehicle used in the blast was confirmed. Necessary DNA, explosives and other samples have been collected from the spot and sent for forensic examination. The investigation has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
