News India Live, Digital Desk: This story can shock anyone. How did an educated young man, who was a capable doctor, whose job was to relieve people’s suffering, go so far on the path of terrorism that he became responsible for the deaths of dozens of people? This is the story of Dr. Umar-un-Nabi, resident of Sopore, Kashmir, who is now being identified as the suspected suicide bomber who terrorized Delhi. Recently, a massive bomb blast in a car near the Red Fort of Delhi shocked the entire country. Many innocent people lost their lives in this blast. When the security agencies started investigating this matter, the name that came out shocked everyone. This name was 35 year old Dr. Umar-un-Nabi. Who was this doctor? Umar was a qualified doctor resident of Pulwama. He had completed his studies from Government Medical College, Srinagar. After this he worked in hospitals from Anantnag to Faridabad. Recently he was working as an Assistant Professor at Al-Falah Medical College, Faridabad. His acquaintances, family and friends describe him as a shy and reticent person, who was focused only on his work and studies. He was also engaged and was going to get married soon. Then, how did he become a terrorist? According to the investigating agencies, Umar was a part of a very dangerous module of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. The surprising thing is that many educated youth like Umar, especially doctors, were included in this module. These people were using their medical and chemical knowledge to make bombs and explosives. Police say that this entire game was exposed after a raid on a hideout in Faridabad on November 9. A large quantity of bomb making material including ammonium nitrate was found there. As soon as Umar came to know that his companions had been caught, he got scared. With the intention of destroying the evidence and carrying out a major attack, he fled towards Delhi with a car filled with explosives. That dreadful evening of the blast. Agencies believe that the I-20 car in which the blast took place near the Red Fort was being driven by Doctor Umar himself and he was also killed in this attack. Now to confirm this, Umar’s mother’s DNA sample has been taken so that it can be matched with the body pieces found in the car. The family is still not convinced. On the other hand, Umar’s family is not able to accept this truth. His sister-in-law Muzammil says that Umar could not do this, he did not even talk properly to anyone. The family had trained him to become a doctor with great difficulty. This incident leaves many bitter questions in front of our society. After all, what were those reasons that turned a capable doctor into an enemy of humanity? This story tells how the poison of terror can engulf even educated minds.
