You probably use WhatsApp, but do you know all the features of this popular instant messaging app? It's not just popular; it offers many amazing features that help improve the user experience. Sometimes we log into our WhatsApp account on another device for some work, but forget to log out after completing the task, leaving our WhatsApp app running on the other device.
If WhatsApp is left running on another device, someone could read your chats. So, you should know how to find out where your account is active.
WhatsApp Feature: What is this feature?
A feature called WhatsApp Linked Device is available in the app, which provides information about where your WhatsApp account is active. Let's explain where this feature is located in the app and how you can use it to log out of an account running on another device.
Step 1: Open the WhatsApp app, then tap the three dots on the right side. As soon as you click on the three dots, you'll see the "Linked Devices" option. Tap this option. Tapping this option will reveal where your account is currently running.
Step 2: If you see your WhatsApp account running on an unknown device in this list, take immediate action and log out the account running on that device.
Remove it this way
Removing your WhatsApp account from another device is quite easy. You simply click on the name of the device you want to remove the account from in this list. After clicking on the device name, you'll see two options: Close and Log Out. Select the second option and click Log Out.
