Veteran actor Dharmendra, 89, has been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after days of treatment.
The legendary star, lovingly known as Bollywood’s He-Man, was admitted on October 31 following complaints of breathlessness and was moved to the ICU on November 10 for medical supervision. His family, including sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, decided to bring him home on Wednesday morning.

Veteran actor Dharmendra finally discharges after weeksOn Wednesday morning, PTI shared the update about Dharmendra's health. They informed that the actor has finally been discharged from hospital with the family deciding to take him home.
"Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him treatment at home," Dr. Prof Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital told NDTV.
Earlier, his daughter Esha Deol also reassured fans that her father was stable and on the road to recovery. She also urged everyone to ignore the false reports about his health and respect the family’s privacy during this time.

On Tuesday, Dharmendra’s family stayed by his side at the hospital throughout the day. His children, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, nephew Abhay Deol, and wife Hema Malini, were seen leaving Breach Candy Hospital later that evening. Actor Aamir Khan and his girlfriend Gauri Spratt also visited Dharmendra to check on his health.
On Tuesday, several portals had reported on the actor's death. Esha Deol slammed the false reports and media channels, saying that her father is "stable and recovering."
Dharmendra’s wife and veteran actress Hema Malini has also strongly criticised the circulation. Taking to X, she wrote, What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
Dharmendra is known for films like Sholay, Dharam Veer, Chupke Chupke, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, and Dream Girl.
