Jaipur: In response to the explosion near Delhi's Red Fort, security agencies in Rajasthan's border districts have entered a heightened state of alert. Police, intelligence agencies, and the BSF have intensified their vigilance in cities including Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, and Barmer.
Increased Surveillance in Jaisalmer
All police stations in Jaisalmer district have been instructed to closely monitor suspicious individuals and activities. Enhanced security measures have been implemented at railway stations, bus stands, hotels, dhabas, and crowded markets. Barricades have been set up on all entry routes into the city, with thorough checks of vehicles being conducted to ensure the identification of passengers and drivers.
Joint Patrols by BSF and Police
In border areas, the BSF and police have ramped up joint patrols. Vigilance at border checkpoints has been heightened, with both forces keeping a close watch on any suspicious activities. The surveillance system has also been strengthened to enable prompt action against any unusual movements.
High Alert in Barmer
Similarly, security agencies in Barmer district have heightened their alert status. Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena inspected various areas of the city on Monday evening to review security arrangements.
Special Checks in Barmer
Under the SP's directives, special inspection campaigns have been launched at railway stations, bus stands, and market areas. Passengers' belongings and vehicles are being meticulously checked to preempt any potential threats.
Tight Security from Jaipur to Border Districts
Following the alert in Jaipur, additional police forces have been deployed at the railway station and Sindhi Camp bus stand. A search operation is underway at the railway station, while intensive vehicle checks are being conducted at key locations throughout the city.
Comprehensive Checks in Sri Ganganagar
The police have also initiated inspection campaigns in hotels, dharamshalas, and crowded areas. Entry points into Jaipur district are being barricaded to ensure that no suspicious individuals can enter the city.
Increased Patrols in Border Areas
In Sri Ganganagar, patrols in border areas have been intensified. Under the guidance of SP Dr. Amrita Duhan, the police are on high alert. All police stations have been instructed to take immediate action against any suspicious activities and to maintain strict security protocols.
Heightened Vigilance in Banswara
In Banswara district, thorough checks are being conducted at border checkpoints. SP Sudhir Joshi has reported that police are vigilant along interstate borders, with increased patrols on National Highways 56 and 927-A.
Rigorous Checks on Routes to Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh
Intensive inspections of four-wheeled vehicles are being carried out on routes leading to Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Monitoring has been strengthened at highway hotels and in the Aambapura police station area.
