In Dharamshala, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Berwa has announced plans to create a detailed master plan aimed at enhancing the aesthetics and facilities of major temples in the Kangra district, including those recognized as Shakti Peeths. All sub-divisional magistrates have been instructed to act promptly on this initiative.
During a review meeting held at the NIC auditorium on Friday, DC Berwa revealed that a beautification strategy for the Jwalamukhi Temple will be developed in partnership with experts from NIT Hamirpur. Similar plans will also be crafted for the Chamunda, Brajeshwari, and Damtal temples, ensuring improved amenities for visitors and sustainable upkeep of the temple complexes.
Aarti Rituals and Maintenance Plans

The Deputy Commissioner has also called for the commencement of aarti rituals at Ban Ganga, located near Brajeshwari Dham. Furthermore, maintenance instructions were issued for the Bhairav, Ashtabhuja, and Tara Devi temples at Jwalamukhi.
Digital Enhancements for Temple Services
To modernize the temple experience, the phased rollout of digital services, including online langar bookings and virtual darshan, is set to begin shortly. The focus will be on improving the quality of traditional worship and systematically advancing the digital infrastructure of the temples.

DC Berwa emphasized the importance of clearing encroachments along temple access roads to ensure smooth passage for pilgrims. He also instructed temple officials to routinely check storage areas and keep accurate records of offerings and donations.
The meeting also covered discussions regarding cow shelters operated by temple trusts and the resolution of audit-related matters, with a strong emphasis on maintaining cleanliness throughout the temple grounds.
