Hero Xtreme 125R: Hero MotoCorp has introduced its popular bike Xtreme 125R in a new and advanced avatar. The new bike is now not only stylish but also safer and feature-rich than before. The company has added premium features like dual-channel ABS, 3 ride modes and cruise control.

India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is now trying to strengthen its hold in the segment above 100cc. In this direction, the company has given major updates in the Extreme 125R, so that this bike can compete with bikes like TVS Raider, Honda CB125 Hornet and Bajaj Pulsar N125.

Earlier this bike had only single-channel ABS, but now the option of dual-channel ABS is also given in it. This results in better braking and stability than ever before, especially on slippery roads or during high-speed braking. The variant with dual-channel ABS has been launched at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from this, Hero will still continue to sell single-channel ABS (Rs 92,500) and CBS base variants (Rs 89,000).

The new bike also has technologies like ride-by-ride (Electronic Throttle Body), 3 ride modes (Eco, Road, Power) and cruise control. Ride-by-ride smoothens the throttle response and the rider can choose the mode as per his need. Cruise control feature is introduced for the first time in this segment, which makes long distance rides easier.

In the dual-ABS model, three new color options Black Pearl Red, Black Matte Shadow Gray and Black Leaf Green have been introduced for the bike. Special graphics and matte finish touch have been given in these colors, which makes the look of the bike even more sporty.

Hero Extreme 125R has the same 124.7cc air-cooled engine, which generates 11.4 bhp power and 10.5 Nm torque. The bike can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, which is the fastest in the 125cc segment. Talking about mileage, it gives mileage up to 66 km/l.
