Parathas are often made in our kitchen during winters. In the evening, when the fragrance of parathas spreads in the house, the appetite increases. Similarly, everyone likes potato paratha. But, when sweet and spicy peas are added to it, it turns into Aloo Matar Paratha.
This special dish can be eaten from breakfast to evening snack. You can also make this delicious and flavourful Aloo Matar Paratha at home. In this article, the ingredients required to make Aloo Matar Stuffed Paratha and the easy method of making it have been explained.
Ingredients for Aloo Matar Parotta
• Wheat flour – 2 cups
• Oil or ghee – 1 tablespoon
• Boiled potatoes – 2 medium sized
• Boiled peas – half cup
• Finely chopped onion – 1
• Finely chopped green chilli – 1
• Finely chopped ginger paste – 1 tablespoon
• Red chilli powder – half tablespoon
• Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
• Garam masala – quarter teaspoon
• Salt – as per taste
• Finely chopped coriander – a little
• Lemon juice – half tablespoon
• Water – as per requirement
How to make Aloo Matar Paratha
– First of all, add wheat flour, salt and a little oil in a vessel and mix. Then slowly add water and knead a soft dough. Then cover the dough and keep it for 15 to 20 minutes.
– Then, peel the boiled potatoes and mash them well. Add boiled peas in it and mash until the peas are lightly crushed.
– Now add onion, green chilli, ginger, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, lemon juice and green coriander.
– Mix all these ingredients well. Now your delicious potato stuffing is ready.
– After this make small balls of the dough. Take a ball, flatten it a bit and fill the filling in the middle.
– Then close the edges and roll it round again. Now heat the pan, place the paratha on it and cook it till it becomes light golden brown from both the sides.
Then, add ghee or oil on it and fry it till it becomes crisp from both the sides. Aloo Matar Paratha is ready.
– This hot Aloo Matar Paratha can be enjoyed with curd, pickle, butter or tea.
