New Delhi: India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, considered the largest technology fair of India and Asia, has started today with much fanfare. This grand event, which ran from 8 to 11 October at Yashobhoomi Convention Center in New Delhi, was inaugurated by PM Modi. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the young generation of the country is playing an important role in the tech revolution. Now technology is changing so fast that we can say that the future is here and now.”
PM Modi said that today the price of 1 GB wireless data in India is less than the price of a cup of chani. India has become one of the largest data consuming countries in the world. Now digital connectivity is not a luxury, but has become an integral part of Indian life.
Modi said that he visited many stalls in the demonstration, where he got a glimpse of the future. He said that India will move in a new direction in the coming years in areas like telecom connectivity, 6G technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cyber security, semiconductors, drones and green tech.
He added that internet speed is not only important for ranking, but it also helps in increasing the “ease of living”. The Prime Minister said that through Bharat Net Project, 2 lakh village panchayats have been connected with broadband internet. Under the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) mission, 75 lakh children have been connected with modern technology through 10,000 labs. Apart from this, the opening of 100 new “Use Case Labs” will create new opportunities in the tech sector.
