For Social Media Platform X Elon Muskhas started rolling out a new and unique feature. Musk has finally started rolling out X Chat for the social media platform. The owner and chief technical officer of the social media platform said that X Chat is being integrated into beta and the feature is currently available to select users.

X Chat released in beta

Elon Musk shared the post saying that X has now rolled out an entirely new communication stack, which includes encrypted messages, audio/video calls and file transfers. Musk made an announcement last month that X Chat would be introduced as a standalone platform. Although X Chat has not yet been introduced as a standalone platform, after this announcement by Musk, X Chat for X has finally started to roll out. So now users will be able to use this new feature in the social media platform.

Chat’s biggest focus is on encryption. All DMs are not encrypted by default. However, paid subscribers will be able to have encrypted chats in a separate tab. Chat eliminates this separate system and provides a single, fully encrypted layer for all conversations. Even messages that were not previously encrypted will now be secure. Musk has previously compared its encryption capabilities to Signal and Meta-owned WhatsApp.

Users who will receive this new upgrade will first be asked to set up a four-digit PIN for Chat. Users will be able to view their messages only after setting the PIN. Users will have to enter the PIN every time after opening the upgrade interface. Many X users have complained about this second layer of authentication every time.

In a post shared by X Developer Platform Head, Christopher Park, the company has recently launched several new products. Like Grokipedia, X Chat and X API beta. In addition, the company will soon launch a major upgrade to Grok Imagine, X Money and a fully Grok-powered X feed.
