The player retention list for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will be announced today. Franchises are working on a strategy to retain as many players as possible, so that their core group can be retained before the mini auction. The price of the players who will be released by the teams will be added to their auction purse. The most discussion in this retention is about Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja. There are reports of Sanju Samson going to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), while there are talks of Ravindra Jadeja going to Rajasthan Royals (RR) and demanding captaincy.
