"The shops and church are quaint and interesting, and there are a couple of nice inside cafes.

"Lovely walk to it from our guesthouse, and then back down through the woods to the seafront. And FREE admission. We really enjoyed it, highly recommend visiting."

Another penned: "We were recommended a visit to Cockington by our hotel hosts, it was beautiful, we walked along the country walk and enjoyed all the sights,

"Lovely pub and beautiful setting, we will definitely return when we are next back in Torquay."

While you're there you can take the short trip to Torquary which is a coastal town known for its stunning seaside views.

Even in colder weather, you can't miss out on a trip to the beach.
