Delhi. State Bank of India, the country’s largest government bank, is going to implement an important change for crores of its customers. Amidst the increasing use of digital payments, it will completely discontinue its popular mCash feature. SBI has made it clear that after November 30, 2025, the facility to send or claim money through mCash will not be available on online SBI and Yoni Lite platforms. This means that from December 1, 2025, this service will end permanently.

Customers whose banking operations depended on this feature will now have to use other digital means, mCash was a facility through which SBI customers could send money instantly by just entering their mobile number or email ID without adding any beneficiary. This service was considered very useful for small and quick transactions. When a customer sent money through mCash, the recipient received a secure link and an eight-digit passcode, through which he could transfer the amount to any of his bank accounts. In a statement issued by SBI, it has been said that the bank is closing this feature after 30 November 2025 and customers have been suggested to use modern and secure payment options like UPI, IMPS, NEFT and ATGS.
