New Delhi: SBI Bank Shutdown Service: If you have a bank account with the countrys largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) then two dates are very special for you. Today November 16 many SBI services were temporarily closed. One service will be permanently closed from November 30. Services Closed on November 16 SBIs UPI IMPS YONO Internet Banking NEFT and RTGS services were down for approximately 95 minutes on the night of November 16 2025. The bank had informed customers in advance. These services were suspended from 1:10 a.m. to 2:45 a.m. on November 16 for system maintenance. ATM services were also suspended for one hour. Cash withdrawals from ATMs were not possible during this time. While these services were temporarily suspended the bank has permanently suspended some services. Permanently Discontinued from December 1 SBI is discontinuing the mCASH feature from December 1. The bank has clarified that mCASH services will remain unavailable after November 30 2025. SBI account holders will not be able to make mCASH transactions through OnlineSBI and YONO Lite. SBIs mCASH service allows account holders to make quick and easy money transactions. This service allows you to send money simply by entering your mobile number or email address. This service facilitates small transactions for customers. The bank has now decided to discontinue this service. The State Bank of India has informed customers about the discontinuation and the information has also been posted on its website. According to this information the mCASH service will no longer be available after November 30 2025. Why is this SBI service being discontinued? According to the information provided by the bank the mCASH service is being discontinued to make digital transactions more secure. mCASH is an old method of transaction. By discontinuing it efforts are being made to promote modern methods such as UPI IMPS NEFT and RTGS.
