How much reservation for whom?

SC/ST students are reserved for 22.5% of the total seats—15% for SC and 7.5% for ST. Pass marks are considered the minimum eligibility criteria for SC/ST students. If admission is based on an entrance test, they will be required to take the test, but a separate merit list will be prepared for them. A 5% relaxation is provided in the cut-off, and if seats remain vacant, further relaxation may be provided as needed. SC seats may be allocated to STs and ST seats to SCs, but if seats remain vacant, they are left vacant.

OBC students have 27% reservation in total seats. They receive a 10% relaxation in eligibility marks compared to the general category. However, the OBC certificate must be non-creamy layer and must belong to a caste listed by the central government. If a student does not have the latest non-creamy layer certificate at the time of registration, they can upload an old certificate or application slip, but the latest year's certificate must be presented at the time of admission.

10% of seats in DU are reserved for the EWS category. These are considered based on the rules set by the central government, and eligibility is determined according to those guidelines. A valid certificate issued by the designated authorities is also required for EWS.
