The India Meteorological Department predicts that there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over the plains of northwest India, central, eastern, and northern peninsular India during the next two days. Thereafter, minimum temperatures in northwest, central, and eastern India may increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, cold wave conditions are likely to persist in parts of western Madhya Pradesh on November 18 and 19. Cold wave conditions are likely to persist in some parts of western Madhya Pradesh on November 20 and 21. Cold wave conditions may persist in eastern Rajasthan and parts of eastern Madhya Pradesh from November 18 to 20. Light to moderate fog may prevail in northeastern India this week.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in several states in South India from November 18th to 23rd. During this period, light to heavy, sometimes very heavy rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu from November 18th to 23rd, Kerala and Mahe from November 17th to 20th, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema from November 17th and 18th, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from November 19th to November 22nd. Rainfall is expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from November 20th to 22nd.
