South Indian movie star Nayanthara’s fans got a pleasant surprise on her 41st birthday on November 18, 2025 as the announcement of her next project came out. The actress is all set to portray a fierce queen in Gopichand Malineni’s next directorial, temporarily titled NBK 111, that stars Nandmuri Balakrishna in the lead. Here’s everything we know:

On Nayanthara’s birthday, November 18, 2025, director of NBK 111, Gopichand Malineni, announced that the actress will be a part of his next directorial. He made the announcement on his official social media handle that also featured a motion poster of NBK 111.

Gopichand Malineni took to X to announce, “Here she comes… Welcoming the one and only Queen #Nayanthara garu into the world of #NBK111 🤗❤️ Honoured to have her power and grace in our story. Wishing you a wonderful Birthday. Excited to see you on set soon. ❤️❤️ @nbk111movie. GOD OF MASSES #NandamuriBalaKrishna @Venkataskilaru @vriddhicinemas”

The director confirmed that Nayanthara will play a queen in NBK 111 that stars Nandmuri Balakrishna as the male lead. The announcement is doubly special as it will mark Balakrishna and Nayanthara’s reunion after seven years. Malineni collaborated with Balakrishna on his 2023 film Veera Simha Reddy.

In the promo video, Nayanthara, dressed as a queen, is seen riding a horse. While most of the details about NBK 111 have been kept under wraps, glimpses of other cast members is expected to come out soon.

NBK 111 will mark Gopichand Malineni’s first big-budget period drama, adding a new feather to his hat which he has earned by creating commercially successful blockbusters in Telugu cinema.

The film is being bankrolled by Vriddhi Cinemas and Venkata Satish Kilaru, who is also known for the pan-India project Peddi. The film’s official launch is scheduled for November 26. The announcement was made earlier this year on Nandamuri Balakrishna’s birthday.

NBK 111 marks another collaboration for Nayanthara and Balakrishna after a long time. The actors previously starred together in movies like Jai Simha and Sri Rama Rajyam.
