Abbey Clancy has revealed her fears about a "dreaded" family milestone she describes as "so sad". The model has been wed to former England striker Peter Crouch for more than ten years.

The pair are parents to Sophia, 14, Liberty, 10, Johnny, seven, and Jack, six. During their latest podcast episode of The Therapy Crouch, 44-year-old Peter suggested Abbey will find it tough when their brood eventually leave home.

This prompted 39-year-old Abbey to quip that she fancies creating a "compound" complete with an "electric fence" to prevent her youngsters from departing the family nest, reports Wales Online.

The discussion arose after a listener shared how much they missed having their children around following one son's move to Australia and another's departure for university.

A tearful Abbey confessed she's anxious about the day her own offspring will leave. She said: "That's so sad.

"I'm dreading that day, even Sofia, she towers above me now and you can't remember the last day you carried her. She's taller than me now."

Peter quipped that he'd rush home to lift up Sophia.

He replied: "I'm going to have to note down the time and date now and just go pick her up."

This sparked their producer Ross to observe how "mad" it was that every parent eventually carries their child "for the last time".

Abbey then highlighted that 6ft 7in Peter "could still carry" his teenage daughter.

The former Liverpool forward replied: "I'm going to have to note down the time and date now and just go pick her up."

Abbey looked back fondly on the times when she would bath the children together.

She continued: "I used to have the little ones in the bath, together, like all three babies, and now Lib's like, 'Oh I'm not getting in there, I'll get in the shower."

The chat also prompted the pair to confess they would welcome a relocation Down Under.

Abbey revealed she had even proposed abandoning life in the UK to her husband.

Peter responded: "I'd love to, I'd love to. I do love it, yeah, I just think I'd love it, but I've never been."

Peter and Abbey initially crossed paths in Liverpool in 2005. During a chat on Good Morning Britain, Abbey remembered their first meeting: "When we first met, he begged me for my number. Then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I thought, 'How dare you?'

Peter clarified that he was "just talking" to the other woman, but Abbey demanded her number back.

He replied, "You can't give someone your number and then take it back."

Despite this shaky beginning, their romance quickly blossomed, and they tied the knot on June 30, 2011.

According to OK! magazine, the duo now reside in a "magical" mansion in Surrey, which features its own cinema room and a sprawling garden.

Abbey frequently posts snapshots of their home on social media, revealing Peter at work at his large wooden desk-complete with a football trophy-as well as enjoying the outdoor swimming pool and wooden play area.

The couple allegedly relocated to the stunning property in 2016.
