The wait for millions of farmers across the country is about to end, as the government prepares to release the 21st installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. On 19 November 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse the next installment of Rs 2,000 directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The announcement is expected to bring financial relief to crores of farming families ahead of the upcoming agricultural season.

According to official information, PM Modi will release the installment from Coimbatore, where the event is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM. During this programme, funds will be transferred to the accounts of over nine crore registered farmers. Through this installment, the government will release close to Rs 18,000 crore under the DBT mechanism. The initiative remains one of the most significant welfare schemes aimed at strengthening the economic stability of small and marginal farmers.

However, reports indicate that not every previously registered farmer will receive the payment this time. Close to 70 lakh farmers have been removed from the eligibility list for the 21st installment. Officials claim that these individuals did not meet the mandatory criteria required under the scheme. The government continues to tighten verification to ensure that only genuine beneficiaries receive financial support. This step is part of the ongoing effort to remove duplicate, inactive, or ineligible entries from the beneficiary database.

What the PM-Kisan Scheme Offers

Launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers across the country. Under the scheme, farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, which is transferred in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The installment arriving during the rabi season is particularly significant, as it helps farmers prepare for sowing, crop inputs, and other essentials.

Over the years, the scheme has emerged as a crucial support mechanism for farmers facing rising input costs and unpredictable weather patterns. With seamless DBT transfers, the initiative ensures timely financial assistance without any middlemen.

How to Check the Status of Your Installment

If you are a registered beneficiary under the PM-Kisan scheme, checking the status of your payment is simple. The government has provided an easy-to-access online system to verify installment details and confirm whether your name is included in the beneficiary list.

Follow these steps to check your status:

  1. Visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in

  2. On the homepage, go to the Farmers Corner section.

  3. Click on Beneficiary List.

  4. Select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village.

  5. Press Get Report.

Once completed, the system will display the list of beneficiaries from your village, where you can check your name and payment status.

Is e-KYC Mandatory?

Yes. To receive the latest installment, completing e-KYC is compulsory. This requirement has been introduced to ensure transparency and eliminate fraudulent beneficiaries. Farmers who fail to complete their e-KYC will have their payment withheld until the verification is completed. The government aims to ensure that only verified and genuine farmers receive the financial support earmarked for them.

With the release of the 21st installment, the PM-Kisan scheme continues to play a vital role in enhancing the economic resilience of the agricultural community. As crores of farmers prepare to receive their next payment, the initiative reaffirms the government’s commitment to supporting rural livelihoods and strengthening the agricultural sector.
