Material
Spinach – 2 cups washed and chopped
Onion-1 small finely chopped
Garlic cloves-4 chopped
Ginger – 1 small piece grated
Tomato-1 small chopped
Oil-1 spoon
salt to taste
Black pepper-½ tsp
Lemon juice-1 spoon
Water-2 cups
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, then add chopped garlic and ginger and fry until it becomes light golden. Now add chopped onion and cook until it becomes transparent.
- After this add chopped tomato and cook till it becomes soft. Now add chopped spinach to it and fry lightly for 2-3 minutes.
- Add two cups of water, salt and black pepper and boil for 5-7 minutes. Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down a bit, then blend it lightly in a mixer (you can leave it chunky if you want). Boil once again for 1–2 minutes. Add lemon juice while serving.
- If you want, you can also add a little cream or milk to it, this makes the texture even smoother. To keep it low-calorie, it can also be made without oil, just boil everything and blend it.
