It has been revealed that Spencer Matthews will not be flying to Australia to support his wife, Vogue Williams, as she heads into the I'm A Celeb camp this week. The Irish presenter will be a late addition alongside Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson on Thursday. When stars enter the Australian jungle, there is the opportunity for a loved one or friend to go along Down Under and greet them when they leave the campsite. However, The Sun has reported that Spencer is 'too busy' to support his wife and won't be travelling to see her, as he is in the middle of a gruelling mission. The Made in Chelsea star is hoping to complete seven full Ironman marathons on seven continents in 21 days.
A source told the Daily Mail: "The timing isn't ideal at all, but sometimes these things happen, and Vogue and Spencer's diaries just clash.
"Of course, Spencer would want nothing more than to support Vogue in Australia and be there waiting for her when she leaves the jungle but both are committed to their own projects, and unfortunately, the schedules overlap."
The pair share three children together, and the publication also said that they will all remain in London. The source added: "There's a small chance Spencer could finish his triathlon challenge ahead of schedule, but it's unlikely he would then fly to Australia.
"They'll both be missing their children, who will stay in London, continue attending school, and no doubt support their parents from afar - catching Vogue on TV whenever they can."
Express Online has contacted Spencer Matthew's representative for comment.
According to The Mirror, part of the reason Vogue signed up for the hit ITV show was that she was turning 40 and realising how set in her ways she had become.
"I am too comfortable in life," she said to the publication. "I sleep with four pillows in my bed just for me. I think you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone, particularly when I turned 40.
"I was getting kind of stuck in my ways a little bit. I like things a certain way. I mean, I like to walk around the park a certain way and everything."
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here can be streamed on ITV and ITVX.
