New Delhi, 20 November (Read)। Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) has announced significant improvements to its network on the Sabarimala route, ahead of the annual pilgrimage in Kerala. The upgrade aims to ensure that devotees remain connected with their families throughout their journey.
According to the company, coverage has been enhanced across key locations including Sannidhanam, Pampa and Nilakkal. Vi has deployed 70 MHz spectrum across multiple bands — L900, L1800, L2100, L2300 and L2500 — and added 13 new mobile sites in Pathanamthitta district.
To support heavy traffic during the pilgrimage season, the operator has also deployed advanced FDD and TDD layers along with Massive MIMO technology. This is expected to strengthen both voice and data connectivity at Ganapathi Kovil, Nadappanthal, the administration offices, the Pampa–Sannidhanam trekking path and Nilakkal parking and bus stand.
With these enhancements, Vodafone Idea aims to provide uninterrupted communication for devotees as they travel, access necessary information, and share their experiences during the pilgrimage.
