Farhan Saeed, one of Pakistan’s most beloved musical voices, has reached a powerful turning point in his two-decade journey. In an open and heartfelt conversation on Sunday Unscripted with Ozan Khan, he reflected on 21 years of navigating fame, setbacks, reinvention, and the unwavering support of fans who have stood by him from the beginning.

Looking back at his early rise with Jal, the band that first introduced him to millions, Farhan acknowledged that its breakup brought not only new possibilities but also a long list of missed opportunities. Many projects dissolved before they could take shape, and the shift to a solo career meant starting again from the ground up. “I knew I had to do it,” he said, recalling how, almost ten years ago, he committed to rebuilding showing up every single day, writing, composing, and exploring new genres until the music naturally found its way back into his life.

He credited his fans for their loyalty through every reinvention. Their constant encouragement, he shared, has been the reason he continues to push boundaries and evolve as an artist. Fatherhood, too, has added a deeply personal layer to his work, influencing his sound with emotion, sincerity, and a renewed sense of purpose.

At the centre of the interview was his upcoming solo album Khat. Farhan highlighted the album’s message of individuality and self-expression, both for himself and his listeners. The album’s artwork hand-painted and intentionally intimate was crafted to mirror the emotional weight of the project. “I wanted it to be personal,” he explained. “Something that truly reflected my journey.”

Farhan also spoke about the artists he admires, including Ed Sheeran and his track Sapphire, sharing how different influences have shaped his evolving musical identity.

The title track & music video from khat the album is now on all streaming platforms.
