State-owned telecom company BSNL has once again dealt a blow to its users. This time, the company has reduced the validity of another of its affordable plans. The company has reduced the validity of its Rs. 107 recharge plan. This affordable prepaid plan previously offered a validity of 35 days, which was later reduced to 28 days.
Now, the company has reduced the validity of the same plan to 22 days. Furthermore, it appears that BSNL may soon make changes to its other affordable recharge plans as well. Recently, the company also reduced the validity of its Rs. 197 recharge plan, which previously offered a validity of 54 days, to only 42 days.
BSNL's Rs. 107 Prepaid Plan
BSNL has updated its Quick Recharge webpage, and the Rs. 107 recharge plan now offers only 22 days of validity. According to the Bajaj Finserv website, which also tracks prepaid plans from other TSPs in India, the Rs. 107 prepaid plan initially offered a validity of 35 days. However, the validity was reduced to 28 days some time ago, and now another 6 days have been reduced.
No Changes to Benefits
However, the company has not changed the benefits offered in the plan, such as talktime, data, and SMS quota. The state-owned telecom operator's Rs. 107 recharge plan still offers 3GB of data. However, after using 3GB of data, the speed will be reduced to 40 kbps. This plan also offers 200 minutes of free local, STD, and roaming voice calling.
Talktime and data charges after the limit
After the talktime limit is reached, you will be charged ₹1 per minute for local voice calls, ₹1.3 per minute for video calls, and ₹2 per minute for STD voice calls. BSNL will charge 80 paise per local SMS, and ₹1.20 and ₹6 for national and international SMS, respectively. Furthermore, if the data quota is exhausted, data charges will be 25 paise per MB.
