New Delhi:  Team India is gearing up to face South Africa in the second Test of the series at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on the 22nd of November. The hosts will look to level the series after a disappointing loss against Proteas in the opening Test at Eden Gardens. India fell short by 30 runs while chasing a modest target of 124 as the batting lineup suffered a collapse in Kolkata with Simon Harmer causing major damage. Following the loss head coach Gautam Gambhir was trolled heavily but batting coach Sitanshu Kotak stepped in to defend the former opener. But the Proteas bounced back with 153 in their second innings and then bowled India out for just 93 securing a thrilling victory. Jasprit Bumrah starred in the first innings with a five-wicket haul while Aiden Markram and Wiaan Mulder contributed 31 and 24 runs for South Africa respectively. For India KL Rahul top-scored with 39 and Washington Sundar added 29. Simon Harmer grabbed four wickets while Marco Jansen picked three Temba Bavuma led the charge with an unbeaten 55 In South Africas second innings skipper Temba Bavuma led the charge with an unbeaten 55 the only fifty of the match guiding his side to a total of 153. Ravindra Jadeja picked up four wickets while Mohammed Siraj claimed two. Simon Harmer delivered a sensational spell once again taking another four wickets in the final innings to bowl India out for just 93.
